Teen suspected in car burglary

A Madera teenager is facing burglary charges after allegedly breaking into a vehicle and stealing thousands of dollars worth of property, the Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday.

Angel Barrios, 18, was arrested shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday after deputies were dispatched to Ellis Street off Raymond Road.

They seized numerous pieces of costume jewelry, a Rolex watch, a 35 mm camera and a pair of lace underwear, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart.

The camera was turned over to the owner of the vehicle Barrios is suspected of breaking into, Stuart said. During his arrest, Barrios reportedly shouted profanities and racial slurs at one of the deputies and made criminal threats, Stuart said...
