Valley residents can travel with Mickey in 8 shows this week

A high school teacher from Stow, Mass. decided to encourage her students to pursue their dreams by following her own — she joined the Disney On Ice Passport To Adventure ensemble last year and has skated all over the country as a fish, a hula dancer, and more.

This week Jennifer Danowitz, 25, is ready to transport Central Valley audiences to locales around the world — and beyond — to meet their favorite characters in Disney On Ice’s longest-running show.

“I play a bunch of different things in the ensemble,” Danowitz said. “I’m a tuna fish in (The Little Mermaid) Under the Sea number and various other parts when the ensemble comes out for all of the large numbers.”

Skating for Disney On Ice has been a dream of Danowitz’s since she saw Toy Story on ice as a third grade student. She has played ice hockey and figure skated since she was 8...
