A Fresno man described as a high-profile drug distributor in the Central Valley by authorities was arrested by a team of Valley police Tuesday, as a search warrant on his home led to the discovery of more than $11,000 in illicit substances.

Alexander Blaze Betancourt, 25, was arrested by a team of Madera County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MADNET) agents, California Highway Patrol, and Fresno police officers, Madera County Sheriff’s spokesperson Erica Stuart said in a release.

Inside Betancourt’s house near Ashlan Avenue and State Route 99 in Fresno, Stuart said police discovered a pound of crystal methamphetamine, nearly an ounce of cocaine, and almost half a pound of processed marijuana.

Altogether, the substances were valued at $11,600 and an additional $2,000 in cash was found in the home...
