A suspect accused of attempting to run down a Madera County sheriff’s deputy Friday was found dead hours later from a shot fired by the deputy as the suspect barreled towards him.
Around 3 p.m. Friday, a sheriff’s deputy recognized George Rosenberg, 41, and his truck, said Erica Stuart, spokeswoman for the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
“The suspect had another warrant in the county,” Stuart said.
The deputy got out of his vehicle and attempted to contact Rosenberg, who allegedly reacted by accelerating towards the officer. Stuart said that the officer fired upon the vehicle as it raced towards him...
