People planning to build in the non-incorporated areas of the county will continue to enjoy a substantial discount on the cost of construction permits and fees.
The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted to extend the 66.6 percent discount it began in the spring. The extension will last until the end of June 2013.
Supervisor Tom Wheeler, who sponsored the extension, said he believed the discounted fees had helped generate construction in the county that otherwise would not have taken place.
