The Madera Riders Club and Madera Honda have teamed up to bring Christmas cheer to the less fortunate of Madera. They are holding a raffle for a 2012 Suzuki LTF-250 King Quad Runner. Proceeds from the $1 tickets will raise funds for Christmas baskets of food and toys.

The drawing will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Madera Honda, Suzuki, 100 South E Street.

This is the second year Madera Honda and the Madera Riders Club has helped to make the holidays a little happier for those in need. Last year they provided 10 families with baskets and toys. According to Jeff Squires, immediate past president of the Riders Club, they are planning on aiding 22 families this holiday season.

“This year we have chosen needy families from a list provided by counselors at Washington and Millview Elementary schools,” said Squires.
