Oakland Raiders player Jacoby Ford, Raiderettes to meet fans

A local cell phone company and Community Action Partnership of Madera County will host Oakland Raiders player Jacoby Ford and Raiderettes at a collection drive Tuesday for the Martha Diaz Battered Women’s Shelter.

The event will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Communications Store on 2175 N Schnoor Ave.

Raiders fans can have autographs signed, participate in the Broadcast Your Raider Signal promotion, enter to win tickets to a future Raiders season game, and bring items on the shelter’s wish list.

Wanted items include cleaning supplies (such as bleach, dish soap, laundry detergent, fabric softeners, window cleaner), new or gently used women’s and children’s clothing, and necessities (such as paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags)...
