SR41 lanes to close for pavement rehab

Lanes in both directions of State Route 41 will be closed periodically while crews work to rehabilitate the pavement in two locations in Madera County beginning tomorrow and lasting through September.

SR 41 lanes will be closed Sundays through Fridays from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the area south of Avenue 12 to the Friant-Madera/Kern CanalBridge just south of State Route 145, and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. south of Road 406 to nearly a mile north of Yosemite Springs Parkway.

One-way traffic control with flaggers and pilot cars will be used to direct motorists around the project, Caltrans announced this week.

“Motorists may experience up to a 10-minute traffic delay within each of these two construction areas along SR 41,” said Caltrans spokeswoman Gloria Rodriguez. “Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route if possible.” ...
