SR 99 lane, ramp closures continue

Slow north and southbound lanes on State Route 99 and their ramps will continue to be closed nightly this week from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.

Closed will be the SR 145 on-ramps, 4th Street off-ramps, Cleveland Avenue on and off ramps, and the 16th Street on and off ramps, according to the California Department of Transportation.

All the closures are between the Gateway Avenue and Ellis Street overcrossings.

The Madera 99 Rehabilitation Design-Build Project is expected to be finished in December. It involves rebuilding concrete and asphalt concrete roadway, medians, and shoulders along sections of SR 99 totaling about 3.6 miles...
