Friday is the final day to register a team for the Madera Parks and Community Services Department’s first Winter Softball League.
The entry fee for the men’s recreation league has been reduced to $312. Also reduced for this first year, the coed league costs $275. Team packets are available and entry fees can be paid at the parks office at the John W. Wells Youth Center, 701 E. 5th St.
A managers meeting will be held tonight at the Frank Bergon Center, 238 S. D St. beginning at 6 p.m. League registration, rules and start times will be discussed. The entry fee may also be paid at the meeting.
Games will be played at the Sunrise Rotary Sports Complex on Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on the number of teams registered. For information call the parks office at 661-5495.
