In four years at Madera High School, Cassie Niino didn’t see a single ‘B’ on her semester grades and accumulated a 4.5 GPA.
She graduated No. 1 out of 447 graduates and earned the coveted Smittcamp scholarship, an award to attend California State University, Fresno that includes tuition and housing for four years. She plans to major in chemistry and wants to be an orthopedic surgeon.
“This is pretty awesome,” Niino said. “All of my hard work has paid off.”
