I-Lan group will perform fusion of Eastern and Western music at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Madera South High School's performing arts building
It all began 16 years ago when a group of young musicians arrived in Madera to start what has become Madera’s most enduring Sister City cultural exchange program.
Wanda Mortimer remembered that moment well and recalled it to Conductor Vincent Li when she met the group at the SpringHill Suites hotel in Madera on Thursday morning.
