Cara Escabedo recently took first place in Madera South High School’s second annual sidewalk chalk competition, which was sponsored by the Art Club.

Participating students had two hours to create an artistic representation of the “Celebration of a Stallion Summer,” according to club advisor Sheila Kincade.

Marisela Gonzalez received second place and Jesus and Sandra Espinoza took third. Vicky Sims and Aislynn Valentine judged the contest.
