A concerned citizen called in to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office last week and helped deputies track down a suspect with an outstanding warrant, spokeswoman Erica Stuart said Monday.

Shortly before 1 p.m. Friday, Roxanne Castagnetto — wanted on a felony narcotics warrant — was inside an Oakhurst grocery store.

The citizen called the sheriff’s office pointing out a “female with the mohawk hair, who has a warrant, is inside the store.”

Castagnetto, 38, was taken into custody and booked into Madera County Jail before she posted bail over the weekend.
