Sheriff asks for help in grand theft case

Madera County Sheriff John Anderson released surveillance video Tuesday of a man who stole $1,200 worth of property from a local convenience store before he drove off.

The suspect, described as a heavy set bald man with a goatee and sports tattoos on both arms entered the Johnny Quick store located at 32685 Avenue 7 in Madera on July 3 around 11:30 a.m.

In the video, the suspect can be seen standing with his arms crossed near the cash register before he leaves without making a purchase.

Video then showed him outside the store as he entered a dark-colored, possibly black Ford F150 truck...
