An exodus from Madera Unified School District, which signals a major shakeup in the top level of the administrative staff in its central office, has begun.
Public Information Officer Jake Bragonier has resigned to accept a public relations position in San Francisco with St. Mary’s Medical Center’s Dignity Health program. Bragonier’s last day was Tuesday.
Bragonier is the first of seven top administrators who will leave the district by June 30. Two, including Bragonier and Chief Academic Officer Julia Reese, are leaving because the board terminated their positions. The remaining administrators have accepted the early retirement incentive (PARS) and will leave effective June 30.
