Seibert to retire after 14 years

A quote about kindness hangs prominently on the inside of the door leading into Janet Seibert’s classroom, which usually stays open. It reads, “I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

For many of those who have worked with or been taught by the child development and careers in education teacher at Madera High School, the message on her door may epitomize what the 14-year professional is all about.

“Mrs. Seibert made a huge impact on the lives of the students of Madera,” said Haley Wilcox, a sophomore.

“She is a wonderful person, so sweet and so nice to everybody,” said Evelyn Frechou, who teaches food service and operates the Kampus Kettle, a food catering service...
