The Nursery Company (TNC) began on a small scale in 1992 growing trees mainly for Harris Farms. However, the owners soon began selling trees to friends and neighbors throughout the Chowchilla-Madera area.

With the increased demand, Russell Harris decided to use his nursery to begin supplying trees to growers at a lower cost if they agreed to process their harvest with The Almond Company, which he also owns.

With business growing, Harris decided in 2003 to bring in an experienced manager to run TNC. He hired longtime friend Conrad de la Torre as the new manager. He has been in the nursery business for 35 years and has outstanding knowledge of all the aspects of a nursery and the needs of farmers.
