The Nursery Company (TNC) began on a small scale in 1992 growing trees mainly for Harris Farms. However, the owners soon began selling trees to friends and neighbors throughout the Chowchilla-Madera area.

With the increased demand, Russell Harris decided to use his nursery to begin supplying trees to growers at a lower cost if they agreed to process their harvest with The Almond Company, which he also owns.
