Funds raised benefit Breakfast Lions community projects
Organizers of the second Brewfest in Madera were happy with a better turnout that drew nearly 350 people.
The 2012 Brewfest hosted by the Madera Breakfast Lions Club on Saturday raised money for youth activities it supports. Organizers did not have the amount raised available.
About 14 specialty brew varieties were presented by local and out-of-area breweries. Patrons were also offered sausage and cheese appetizers while listening and dancing to music by the Yard Dogs and Marimba Lucero. Volunteers from Chowchilla’s Lioness Club and Greenhills Lions Club helped serve beer.
Madera’s Three Monkeys Brewing Co., microbreweries from Donaghy Sales LLC in Fresno and Firestone Walker Brewing Co. from Paso Robles presented their products for the Brewfest. Some beers were donated, organizers said...
