MADERA RANCHOS — Local school officials will have to handle the cleaning of a number of walls defaced with obscenities sometime during the 4th of July holiday.

Liberty High School’s exterior walls, windows and pillars were covered with vulgar messages and obscene drawings, according to Madera County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart. At least one swastika was also found on the school’s cafeteria window.

It’s believed vandals struck the campus sometime between the evening of July 4 and Monday.

Authorities ask that anyone with information call the sheriff’s office at 675-7770 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
