Schedule for today’s robotics contest

Madera Unified School District will host the third annual Central Valley Regional Robotics competition today and Sunday. The robotics contest, one of the largest in the United States, is at the Madera South High West Gymnasium, Avenue 13 and Stadium Road.

Attending the public tournament is free.

Today begins with opening ceremonies from 8:30-9 a.m. followed by qualification matches from 9 a.m. to noon, qualification matches from 1 to 5:45 p.m. and an awards ceremony from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.

Sunday’s schedule is only initially similar with opening ceremonies from 8:30 to 9 a.m., qualification matches from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., alliance selections from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m., final rounds from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and awards from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m...
