Madera High School senior Christian Sandoval has been named Ken Taylor Boy of the Month by the Madera Kiwanis Club. He is the son of Hortensia Sandoval, and works part time at her store, Ortiz Western Wear, in downtown Madera.
He has been a member of the California Scholastic for four years, and is active with the Big Brothers Big Sisters, Link Crew, Class of 2014 Club and the Theology of the Body Youth Group. He has been drum major on the band council for the last two years.
He is is Associated Student Body commissioner of athletics, and is Health Science Student of the Year.
The Kiwanis honor makes him eligible for a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded in the spring.
