The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust has announced the release of a map and information app for iOS mobile devices.

“We wanted to provide a free, simple, and easy-to-use tool for visitors to access and enjoy the Parkway, and Spencer Brown’s new mobile app does just that,” said the trust’s executive director, Dave Koehler.

Available on the iTunes app store, Parkway Mobile helps users navigate the Parkway’s network of parks and trails, provides a map and directions to points of interest, and includes up-to-date information on river flow and contacting staff.

The trust’s mission is “to preserve and restore San Joaquin River lands having ecological, scenic or historic significance, to educate the public on the need for stewardship, to research issues affecting the river, and to promote educational, recreational and agricultural uses consistent with the protection of the river’s resources,” according to its website http://riverpark way.org.
