For Maderans looking for something cool to do on a hot fall day this Saturday, there might be nothing better than tasting from 30 different brews, many from local breweries, at the fourth annual Madera Breakfast Lions Brewfest from 1 to 5 p.m. in Courthouse Park.
Three different types of gourmet sausage from Madera’s Chase’s Chop Shop, and other snacks fitting of the traditional fall event similar to Oktoberfest, are included in the ticket price. In addition to the brews and food, music will be provided by the band Remnants, which plays oldies, rock and roll, and country western.
The event will be held just west of the historic courthouse in the gazebo area. Cost is $20 and includes tasting, food and entertainment.
Proceeds from the Brewfest fundraiser will benefit the many youth groups and community betterment activities that the Lions support.
