An annual sale to raise money for local charities drew more people than ever to Holy Spouses Hall on Saturday. More than 300 people attended, organizers said.
“Every year it keeps getting better and better. So far I’m satisfied,” said Norma Barnett, who chaired the event.
The third Spring Arts and Crafts Show, put on by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas St. Joachim’s Court 2553, included 60 Central Valley artists and crafters who sold handmade goods.
“We raised approximately $1,700,” said treasurer Joann Martini, noting that the figure wasn’t yet final. “There might be a little bit of expenses out there.” ...
