The Madera Rotary Club’s 11th annual Halloween ball entertained more than 300 guests and raised thousands of dollars for Rotary charitable activities.
The ball, held Saturday at Hatfield Hall, featured a costume contest, dining and dancing to the Remnants.
Silent and live auctions also helped raise money, including about $4,500 for scholarships.
“That is what Rotary is all about, service above self,” said club president Ren Hallett. “We have been doing this type of work in Madera for more than 90 years, and this event helps us achieve these goals.” ...
