Rotarians to host Trees for Charity

Sunrise Rotarians are getting ready to auction trees in a Cowboy-themed dinner dance to raise money for local charities and aid projects abroad.

The 27th annual Trees for Charity dinner dance and tree auction is set for Saturday. No host cocktails start at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., according to ticket chairman Dennis Miller.

He’s selling tickets for the event, which will take place at Hatfield Hall, 1850 W. Cleveland Ave. Tickets cost $50 per seat or $400 for a table of 10.

Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction benefit Madera Sunrise Rotary’s local and foreign projects and events. Their fundraisers have paid for two firetrucks donated to a town in Bolivia that lacked fire protection support, said Miller...
