A Norteño gang member, suspected in the February armed robbery of a Madera grocery store, was arrested Wednesday morning after he was identified by Madera Police Department officers through video surveillance and his tattoos.
Madera resident Benny David Romero, 22, was found hiding in the garage of a house on the 1300 block of Carrey Avenue around 9 a.m.
Romero did not resist arrest and was charged with armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and violation of parole before being placed in Madera County Jail.
