The Madera Rescue Mission has been awarded a $20,000 grant by the Fresno Regional Foundation through the Bennett Family Foundation.
The mission’s executive director, Rev. Felix Vigil, accepted the check Wednesday from the Fresno Regional Foundation’s chief executive officer, Daniel G. DeSantis.
Vigil said the funds would go toward food, common expenses and a case management worker who is to be hired soon.
