Seeing an opportunity on a property he managed, Garth Zambrana seized it to make a recycling center that caters to the clients.

Zambrana opened Valley Wide Recycling three and a half months ago in a former car wash behind the Valero gas station on Yosemite Avenue and Tozer Street.

“I do property management and the place where the car wash was on is a property I manage,” Zambrana said. “The car wash had been vacant for two years so I asked the owner if I could make it a recycling center. He told me no problem.”

Zambrana’s business is a little different than other recycling centers. Because of the car wash structure, the center is a drive-thru with amenities for the clients...
