Ranchos unites in hunt for missing boy

When autistic 14-year-old Jacob Frandsen was reported missing from his home in the Madera Ranchos around 9 a.m. Wednesday, it took members of the close-knit county community mere minutes to answer the call.

The message, highlighted by capitalized red lettering and a photo of Frandsen went out through the news and subsequently social media in a flash; “missing child alert.”

In less than 10 minutes multiple Facebook pages dedicated to Ranchos developments accumulated several posts with additional information and ideas to search for the boy.

The family realized hours later that the teen had never left the home at all...
