Four Union Pacific Railroad crossings through Madera will be closed from 9 a.m. today until Saturday.
Construction work on the railroad line will close 3rd, 4th, 6th and 9th streets to through traffic. They will be closed to replace rail and crossings.
According to Jerry Martinez, engineering project manager for the City of Madera, traffic will be diverted to Central, Yosemite and Olive avenues
