Everything Ronn Dominici learned about being a member of the Madera County Board of Supervisors he picked up during his career of over 33 years in the California Highway Patrol.

“Being in the highway patrol for all those years gave me a form of good patience and tolerance, and how to speak to people and talk with people,” he said.

“You really learn how to talk to people and how to try to understand people that have problems.”

It was armed with these skills that he was elected to the board in November 2000 and sworn in on Jan. 2, 2001, a year after he retired from the highway patrol...
