Madera County property owners can now view their Assessed Value notices for last fiscal year online.

Notices can be searched for online at www.madera-county .com/index.php/assessed-value-change-search by Assessor’s Parcel Number, found in the upper right corner of a property tax bill.

The Assessor’s office saves tens of thousands of dollars in printing and mailing costs by posting the Assessed Values notices online. Property owners without access to the County website can request a printed notice by calling 675-7710, mailing a request to Madera County Assessor’s Office, 200 W. 4th St.; Madera, CA 93637, or by visiting the assessor’s office.

An improving residential market coupled with strong agricultural property sales have contributed to a 5.03 percent increase in the total assessment roll over the previous year. “The 12 months leading up to the 2013 lien date have seen a decrease in the relative number of distressed property sales and the beginnings of a housing market recovery,” assessor Tom Kidwell said.
