After a trip to Disneyland, the life of Penelope Cota began to turn into a nightmare. In danger was not only her life but those of her unborn twins. She was six months pregnant.

She was watching television when her arm began to hurt. Her husband, Henry Cota Jr., rushed her to the emergency room.

“Doctors told me I had a left bundle branch block in my heart,” said Penelope Cota. “They told me not to worry, that a lot of people don’t even know they have it.”

Once they got her heart rate down from nearly 200 beats per minute they sent her home...
