Pizzeria donates to Madera Food Bank

After a month-long promotion at Round Table Pizza, owner Bill Dawson will donate about 150 cans of nonperishable food items and $500 to the Madera Food Bank.

“In the past, I have always done it for Christmas, but everyone does something at Christmas so I thought to wait a month when no one is doing drives or donations,” Dawson said. “The need is still there.”

Throughout January, patrons received up to $3 off their pizza order with a donation of canned food items. Also, at the pizzeria, patrons could spin a wheel filled with Round Table food prizes for a $1 donation to the food bank.

“I have a lot of customers that are willing to give to the community,” Dawson said. “They know I support the community so they support me to help the community.” ...
