Hundreds of Maderans received free health information and watched Zumba and karate demonstrations during the 20th annual Picnic in the Park on Monday.
The event, hosted by the Madera County Public Health Department, kicked of National Public Health Week, with the theme “A healthy America begins today — join the movement.”
Madera County Supervisor Max Rodriguez helped Public Health Director Van Do-Reynoso kick off the week with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the picnic, held at Courthouse Park.
