Parkwood Elementary pupil chosen Rotary Student of the Month

Adanely Bermudez, a sixth grader at Parkwood Elementary School has been chosen Student of the Month for April by the Sunrise Rotary Club.

Adanely, known as Nelly by friends and fellow students, is a talented student who sets high standards for her schoolwork and her extracurricular activities. According to her principal, Omar Jeronimo, Nelly is a respected member of the Parkwood School Student Council and is always at the front of the line when there is work to be done.

Nelly was presented with her award by Rotary president Monic Wilhite and Student of the Month coordinator Kimberly Bitter at the club’s metting Wednesday at Madera Municipal Golf Course. Rotary members and the student’s family attended the presentation.
