Registration for the annual McNally Park Jesse Owens Games will begin with a kick-off rally this morning at 11 a.m. in the park at 12th and A streets.

This is the 27th year for the games started by current city councilman and longtime youth advocate Donald Holley, who is still active as the director in organizing the games.

Organizers encourage parents to attend the rally and register their children. The games are open for boys and girls ages 3-14 who are interested in the event, which features running, jumping and throwing competitions.

Registration and practices will continue at McNally Park every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday beginning Monday. According to Holley, the games are a lot more than just competition...
