An 82-year-old Oakhurst woman was killed after losing control of her car on State Route 41 north of Winding Way, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Acting CHP commander Sgt. Ed Green said the cause of the Monday night collision may have been a medical issue.

Mary Williams, who had just turned 82 on Aug. 10, died a few minutes after the crash, Green said. Oxygen supplies and bottles were found in her car.

“She had just left Oakhurst and was northbound on SR 41 about 8:20 p.m. She appeared to be heading home, and was less than five miles from her residence when she lost control of her 1999 Toyota Corolla, drifted across the double yellow lines, and sideswiped another car driven by tourists from Germany,” Green said...
