A 55-year-old Oakhurst man was arrested during a traffic stop after a sheriff’s deputy found drugs and paraphernalia in his car, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.
Troy Rowland was booked into Madera County Jail with bail set at $10,000.
Rowland was pulled over by a deputy near Road 426 and Civic Circle off State Route 41 in Oakhurst on Thursday. According to sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart, Rowland was driving without a valid license and his vehicle registration was expired.
Rowland gave the deputy permission to look inside his van, Stuart said, and the deputy found and seized two hypodermic syringes, a glass pipe containing a white substance believed to by crystal meth, additional drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine...
