Father-son retreat planned at lake

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

By Tami Jo Nix

The Codorniz group campgrounds at Eastman Lake, 32174 Road 29 in Raymond, will be the site of a father-son men's retreat during the weekend of April 9 through 11.

This gathering of Christian men and their sons is the ninth annual Men of Integrity retreat.

"The idea behind Men of Integrity is to create a way for men from all the churches in Madera County to worship and grow closer to God," said Geoff Tipton, an original member of the group that founded the event. "We also wanted to create a way for men from a variety of local churches to connect."

The cost per person for attending with a recreational vehicle or tent camping in the large group area is $80, which includes all meals.
