Coaches, players mourn passing of Guglielmana

From Gaffney, S.C., to Madera, the sudden death of Landon Guglielmana left many in mourning.

Guglielmana, who graduated as valedictorian from Madera South High School in May and was attending Limestone College on a volleyball scholarship, died in a solo car crash early Monday morning.

The tragic news about the former Stallions volleyball standout hit hard for many, including Madera South athletic director Marty Bitter.

"It's very hard to express how I feel right now," Bitter said. "The (Madera South) students were impacted a lot by the news. It's such a hard thing to take."
