A Focolare Movement and St. Joachim Church sponsored health fair served more than the 200-person limit that had been set on Saturday.

"At the last minute more volunteers came out," event organizer Ana Garcia said in Spanish. "They called us saying we want to participate. Several doctors called me and we told them, 'Of course.' We had four doctors."

Garcia, along with other Focolare Movement members from St. Joachim Church, organized the health fair during six months.

"We were thinking of what needs we have in Madera," Garcia said. "What is something we can help in, and we thought about the health fair they started in Los Angeles and I said that's something we need in our community.
