United States Postal Service selects new Madera postmaster

Fresno Postmaster Ramona Frankfort announced the promotion of Mike Mirides to the position of postmaster for Madera. Mirides has been employed by the US Postal Service for 12 years. Hired in 1994, he served six years as a helicopter test pilot in the U.S. Army. He held the position of manager of customer services at Ashlan Park Station, Barton Station and Sunnyside Station since May 2001. In addition, he has worked on numerous projects at district level and is a very competent leader.
Mirides is married to Janice Mirides and they have two daughters, Christina and Mica, and resides in Clovis. His new position as postmaster of Madera goes into effect on Sept. 2.
