Young ladies from Chowchilla modeled Western wear before nearly 100 people who gathered for a scholarship fundraiser.

The 6th annual Fashion Show “Giddy Up Giddy Fun” included lunch, raffles, vendors, a silent auction and door prizes.

Organized by the Madera County Cattlewomen’s Association, the event raises money for scholarships awarded to high school seniors, said president Linda Arata. The amount of money raised Saturday wasn’t yet known.

Clothes from stores in Madera, Merced and Atwater were modeled by Molly Gilbert, a contestant for Chowchilla Western Stampede Queen, Little Miss Chowchilla Western Stampede Morgan Clay, Wee Miss Chowchilla Western Stampede Deven Scouti and Sequoia Jordan, a student of Chowchilla High School...
