Seminar to focus on marketing

Mystery authors Sunny Frazier and Glenna Jarvis will sign books at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Chowchilla library following an 11:30 a.m. seminar called Marketing Smarter, Not Harder.

Frazier is author of the Cristy Bristol Astrology Mysteries, and will present the marketing class. Jarvis is author of the newly released mystery-thriller, “Sandmann.”

Frazier worked with an undercover narcotics team in Fresno County for 17 years, and draws from her experiences to add realism to her novels. Jarvis is former managing editor and crime reporter for The Madera Tribune, and had a 15-year career in journalism before becoming a legislative assistant for the Madera County Board of Supervisors.

Frazier is also an acquisitions editor for Oak Tree Press, an independent publisher dedicated to creating opportunities for authors of mainstream, genre fiction and narrative nonfiction. Oak Tree works with authors to develop marketing plans tailored for each book, and presents its books at book expos and fairs, exhibits at library shows, regional bookseller shows and conferences...
