The fourth annual 4th of July Family Freedom Fest in Coarsegold will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, featuring music, activities and crafts for the kids, and a barbeque, along with several speeches by conservatives and dignitaries.

Sierra Star columnist and school administrator Bill Atwood will emcee the event, held at the Coarsegold Historic Village, 35300 Highway 41.

Attendees can enjoy the upbeat and patriotic music by the Lamar Leathers band, brought back by popular demand. Jen Piccolotti and daughter Lyric, and Alpha Falls and son Nathan will sing duets. Piccolotti will direct the children’s choir in a ‘must see’ engaging original song by Sandy Wilbur, complete with rap and the actual words to the preamble of the Constitution called “We the People.”

Kids’ activities include pony rides, a free bounce house and water slides, free crafts, and free arcade games with prizes...
