MUSD schools set holiday celebrations

Ricardo Arredondo, president of the Madera Unified School District’s board, announced at a meeting of the trustees Tuesday evening that several schools throughout Madera Unified School District will hold their holiday activities during the next two weeks. The schedule is as follows:

— At 6 p.m. Wednesday, John J. Pershing Elementary School, 1505 East Ellis St., will have their Holiday Program.

— At the same time, Madera South High School’s Future Farmers of America club will hold its Greenhand Awards Banquet in the MSHS Cafeteria, 705 West Pecan Ave.

— At 10 a.m. Dec. 13, Dixieland, Howard and La Vina elementary schools will hold a Winter Band Concert at Howard, 12878 Road 21 1/2. This will be the first time the country school bands have performed together...
