Strategy will distribute responsibility for education
Madera Unified School District’s three-year, $50,000 plan to make sure everybody in the community is pulling in the same direction in the education of Madera’s children is ready.
The district paid Mutiu Fagbayi, president and CEO of Performance Fact, Inc., the $50,000 to gather and analyze data for the three-year strategic plan that will be presented to the school board at its meeting Tuesday.
Over the past six months, Fagbayi has held a series of meetings in the community, which eventually included every group of stakeholders in Madera Unified. Members of the Board of Supervisors, City Council, chamber of commerce, parent groups, teachers, administrators, classified employees, and students attended the planning sessions, and Fagbayi explored their insights, concerns and recommendations as how best to align the views of the various groups into a unified plan of action.
The strategic plan was unveiled at a school board workshop Tuesday, and trustees had a chance to look it over and ask questions before they have to vote on it next Tuesday...
